Pick your city hotspots

The Evening News in connection with Life Matters section 5/12/05, launched its Independent Style Awards to find the hottest shops in the city.

Evening News readers where given a selection of 30 shops within 10 catagories  to choose from, and then vote by phone or text for their favourite shop.

For the shops in the Norwich Lanes this was a great success, as 7 out of 10 winners are all located in the Norwich Lanes. Results were as follows:

 Best jewellery shop:  Nova Silver

 Best for home furnishing:  The Perfect Pad

 Best place for gifts:  Kettle of Fish

 Best hairdresser:  Kinki

 Best deli:  Bridewell Deli

 Best children shop:  Tickety Boo

 Best place to spend £250:  Jarrold
